Rating: - Not his best
I've read most of Murakami's literature, and loved it all. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but this one was kind of disappointing. It lacked the detached view of the action that highlights much of Murakami's writing. The action takes place over a seven hour period from just before midnight through ... Read More

Murakami is for the most part easy to read, and the language, even though it is translated, flows beautifully. A good portion of the book is dialogue (very good dialogue) and gives a great insight into a culture I hardly understand. The novel is a quick read, it's full of loose ... Read More
