Rating: - Great, quick read
If you love Maeve Binchy, you will love this book. The bad thing is that it is very short (an evening or less). The good thing is that it's quintessential Binchy. Everything you've loved about any of her other books you will love about this one. Highly recommended!!!
Rating: - It's a short ( very short ) story
The story is fine, but as has been mentioned, 87 pages, and those 87 pages are printed in a very large font.
Rating: - The Builders
This book is for English learners. Amazon advertising DID NOT make that clear. As an educated native English speaker I found the story "cute" but BORING! It took me less than 1 hour to read. I like Maeve Binchy's "REAL" novels and own many of them. HAD I KNOWN WHAT THIS BOOK REALLY WAS, I WOULD NOT HAVE WASTED MY MONEY ON IT!!!
Rating: - Disappointed
I love Maeve Binchy and so when I saw this new "book" available for the Kindle I purchased it immediately. However, instead of a full-length novel, I was disappointed to find that this was only a short story. If I had known this was only a short story, I would not have purchased it as $8 is too much for a short story. It appears that this was one of several short stories in an anthology, but is being sold separately for the Kindle.

As a gift, it almost completes the full selection of her works for these friends - Amazon offering great service in providing what we ... Read More
