A most thrilling and captivating tale for readers of all ages
Menarm was a great and prosperous kingdom, known throughout the lands for its friendly, hard-working people and fair trade. But a bitter struggle of succession between brothers left the kingdom devastated, the people divided. Some stayed with Fenil, who had conquered the crown, others followed Renil to the wild lands of the north, founding a new kingdom.
Now Adren, the last princess of the vanquished realm of Menarm, finds herself alone in a world where women live in the shadows of men. Not only must she battle her enemies, but also a truth that could obliterate her last hope for happiness and bring dishonor to all those whom she hold dear. On her quest, she finds unlikely allies in a powerful prince and a defiant mercenary, only to be devastated by an ancient and wily elf. Will Adren be able to survive this final assault?
The Elf and the Princess is a brilliant tale of true love, high adventure, and medieval-style warfare between elves, men, and orcs. Drawing inspiration from the myths and legends of Europe and from such writers as J.K. Rowling and J.R.R. Tolkien, Anna del C. Dye spins a completely original tale that will leave the reader wanting more.

Rating: - A refreshing change from the hero sterotype
When Prince Paletin comes upon the city of Menarm he finds the entire population decimated by orks. Upon further investigation he finds one sole survivor, Queen Saria. The Queen is mortally wounded but manages to draft a letter and asks him for two things. One, to deliver the letter to Tadren in the elf city of Lothia and two, to find her daughter Adren, who has been training with a great warrior, and take her to Lothia also.
Paletin finds the princess and is amazed by how well trained ... Read More
Rating: - Great story! Wonderful characters!
Usually I take a week to read a story. But this old world fantasy grabbed ahold of me body and soul. The tale is directed at young readers, both male and female, yet it will capture the hearts of audiences of any age. It would be superb to have a motion picture done of this fictional work. I look forward with much anticipation to reading the sequels of Anna del C. Dye's "The Silent Warrior Trilogy". This first of the 'Trilogy', "The Elf and The Princess", will be exciting reading for anyone!

Rating: - A Real Fairy Tale
What an interesting book. Anna has written a fairy tale. Only instead
of starting out with, Once a upon a time, she starts off in a unique way.
Death and destruction and war are followed by love. Not just love, but true love from the soul. A real fairy tale love. I was glad when everybody found love in the end and it did end with, And they lived happily ever after! Nice job, Anna.
Rating: - The perfect mix of adventure and romance!
I thoroughly enjoyed The Elf and the Princess by Anna Del C. Dye. The plot is well constructed and has plenty of twists to keep the reader turning the pages. The descriptions in the book, of people, places, and events, are rich and vivid. I was drawn into the world in the book, and lost all track of time. It is an excellent book, one that I would recommend to anyone who loves fantasy books.
