Product Description:
Maggie, the farmer's youngest daughter, loves getting gifts, especially mysterious ones. One wintry day, she receives a package in the mail. She excitedly opens the package to find a bulb buried in a crate of dirt. This was not what Maggie expected. She had hoped for a doll or a game, not a bulb that would one day become a plant. When spring comes, she finds the bulb in the cellar and tosses the lifeless thing into the garden, never to think of it again. . . . Until she walks outside on Easter morning and finds the most beautiful lily she has ever seen. Through the unique gift of a bulb, Maggie discovers the power of grace and forgiveness and the true meaning of Easter.

This is a beautifully written and illustrated book that clearly explains the meaning of Easter. I wept as I read it to my family, it moved me so much. A must have for Easter!

When the weather gets warmer, and her father is working in the garden, Maggie knocks the box off from the cellar shelf ... Read More
Rating: - Good book
This is a good book, however I was a little disappointed as I just LOVE Liz Curtis Higgs book, 'The Pumpkin Patch Parable', and was hoping this would be as good.
Rating: - Simple, meaningful a must-have for Easter
This book tells a story of a girl (who represents humanity) who is given a gift of a lily bulb (who represents Jesus) by a "secret" friend, who turns out to be her father (representing God the Father). The girl is disappointed in the gift, and eventually tosses it outside, never thinking of it again. But she wakes up one morning to find that it has bloomed despite her neglect. She also learns her father is the one who secretly gave her the gift, and she apologizes for ignoring his gift. "Will you forgive ... Read More
